This kitchen is divine, the green cabinets pop, while the open shelving and white cabinets add balance. The wood flooring is gorgeous and I love a good updated subway tile. Kitchens can be one of the most difficult rooms to design and this is a good example of one that doesn't follow the cookie cutter formula.

Musings
Well, none of my muse posts are really coming together for today's post. So I'm just going to post some of my favorite inspiration pictures...

Seneca Rising
Seneca Rising embodies the best of clothes: the pieces you put on when you don't know what else to wear, that you can throw on and they always look great, casual, and cool.

Fashion Muse: Margaret Court
I have been obsessively watching the Australian Open and I wanted to feature a tennis star, but sad to say I'm not a Venus Williams fan, or really a women's tennis fan in general, so I looked back to one of the greats.
Margaret Court is amazing, she is one of only three players to have achieved a career "boxed set" of Grand Slam titles, (winning every possible Grand Slam title - singles, same-sex doubles and mixed doubles - at all four of the Grand Slam events.) That is insanity! She is the all-time women's record holder for grand slams, 62 titles, including being one of only three women with a Grand Slam (all four titles in the same year), and that will most likely never be bested.

Cohen et Sabine
In honor of the Australian Open in Melbourne, (Vamos Rafa!) I thought it would be nice to showcase an Australian designer. Cohen et Sabine designed by Natalie Cohen is a coveted and intrinsic part of the Australian fashion market. The luxurious, yet wearable, clothing line is fantastic.

Tibi - Pre Fall 2011
The newest Tibi collection seems to have a bit more refinement and I think it looks pretty darn chic...

Interior of the Week
I have been very drawn to yellow lately. One of the things that I love about designer Sarah Richardson is her love of fabrics, she pulls entire designs from her initial fabric choices. These bold yellow curtains definitely set the tone for this cheerful office.

Fashion Muse: Zooey Deschanel
I absolutely adore Zooey Deschanel, particularly in regards to She & Him. She has fantastic taste and a definite eye for vintage.
I'm definitely keeping tabs on their concerts more closely this year...

Whit
I stumbled across designer Whitney Pozgay recently, she has been building some serious cred working for her aunt, Kate Spade, and as the lead women's wear designer for Steven Alan. (wow!)
I am definitely keeping on eye on Whit, with it's playful take on classics, like the unexpected shoulder detailing in these dresses.

Interior of the Week
I love dining rooms that are accessible, that people actually use more than once a year. The mirrored bar and chandelier in this dining room are very glam and the mix of dining chairs adds some informality to the space.

Jewelry Class
I am taking a jewelry class tomorrow and I'm really excited. My mom and sister are going with me and we're supposed to learn how to make a necklace, bracelet, and earrings.
Have a nice weekend and hopefully I will be able to show you what I made at my class sometime next week...

Knitting Project: Toddler Blanket
My goal this year is to have more personal postings and not slip into being a me-too-blog.
The past few months I have been working on a blanket for my niece, it was originally a baby blanket and as time slipped by it became a toddler blanket. I tried crocheting two different patterns and gave up on both, but I finally finished the blanket with this knitting pattern. I think it turned out pretty cute.

Salt Lake City
I recently moved back home to Roy from Salt Lake City and I really, really miss it.
So, since today is the 115th anniversary of Utah's admittance to the Union I thought I would show some pictures of SLC from the good ol' days.
I love going through the Utah State History archives, it is so much fun to see how Main Street has evolved and some of the gorgeous architecture of Salt Lake City.
