Interior of the Week

I am loving this clean and simple kitchen, with retro touches and tons of charm.  The classic subway tile and butcher block island balance the sleek counter tops and white cabinets.

The jewel of the room is the crazy adorable range hood with it's scalloped edge.  While the retro appliances, farm sink, and lighting add nostalgia to the mostly modern space.

This is a beautiful kitchen that proves neutral doesn't have to be boring.
It's all in the details...

Fashion Muse: Cameron Diaz

Since I've been on such a coral kick this week I thought I would feature this beautiful coral dress Cameron Diaz wore to The Green Hornet premiere.

P.S. More coral dresses. . .

Anthropologie Post Earrings

I'm not usually a fan of post earrings, but these whimsical post earrings from Anthropologie could change my mind...

Surface to Air

Surface to Air, a group that also works in film and art direction, has such a light and fresh eye for fashion.  I could wear these looks every day.

Interior of the Week

I love the color coral right now and these walls are Pow! coral.  This room is so delightfully cheery with it's mix of blue, green, and yellow furniture that combine with all the art to make a space that is lived in and very personable, my favorite.

The Sleeping Beauty

I am so excited to go to Ballet West's The Sleeping Beauty tomorrow;  I remember Carrie saying it was her favorite ballet on Sex and the City.

Hope you all have a fun weekend!

Craftsman Bar

I love the idea of a slightly unconventional bar.  This Craftsman Tray Service Cart is so sleek and classic, perfect for a fun bar.

Just stock it with all the essential tools, barware, and spirits and it's time for a cocktail party!

J. Mendel

Gilles Mendel creates the most glamorous gowns with a beautiful crepe and chiffon; I am so in love with his current dancer inspiration.

Travel List: Istanbul

I have a long list of places that I want to go and because this blog is an ongoing wish list, I thought it would be fun to catalog them.

Istanbul has been on my list since my Architecture 1010 class and learning about Hagia Sofia: first a basilica, then a mosque, and now a museum.  I always found the stories of it's collapsing dome fascinating and would love to see this incredible history-changing building.

Interior of the Week

I love the crisp, clean lines of Dillon Kyle's work, particularly this Tupper Lake residence.  Based in Texas, Dillon Kyle Architecture avoids all the cliches and creates beautiful spaces.

The balance of the chandelier against the more casual striped rug and woven table creates a casual space for entertaining or relaxing.

I have a fascination with barn doors, I like their functionality to close off spaces, but their aesthetic adds so much interest and dimension to spaces.

The ceiling of this master suite is so incredible and the soft palette of the spaces allows the architectural details to sing.  Life is definitely good in this Texas residence.

Fashion Muse: Ava Gardner

I love Ava Gardner's carefree spring look: throw on printed shorts, a sweater, sandals, and a few flowers.  Done!

The totes and rucksacks in Infusion's Etsy shop are beautifully crafted, delightfully utilitarian, and made from sustainable materials.  What's not to love?
