It's the Weekend!

After a few stressful days of trial preparation it will be nice to have a little holiday weekend.  I'm headed home to visit with family and maybe a trip to Ulta.  I hope you have a lovely Easter weekend.

Dressing up Blazers

I love these two ways to dress up blazers featured on Tomboy Style.  Lapel pins and pocket squares are such an easy way to add a feminine touch and personality to menswear.  It's shocking that women's blazers don't include functional breast pockets or boutonnières more often.

Mix & Match

I love house tours, seeing the continuity in design and how the color scheme is pulled throughout the house.  I pulled pictures with soft pinks, masculine grays, and a fresh white backdrop for this chic country house moodboard.

Happy Friday!

It's officially spring and I can't wait to be done with snow.  I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend of lounging and possibly drawing.  The photos of Jane Lily Warren's apartment reminded me to pick up The Art of Fielding at the library.  It's a light read so far, but nice for a change.

Interior of the Week

You can always count on a cheery room from designer Emily Henderson, but if you follow her blog you know that this room, her master bedroom, probably looks completely different by now.

Have a lovely weekend!

Ernests Gulbis and Christian Harrison

I'm finally getting back into a normal rhythm after a fantastic week at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California.  It was so amazing to watch qualifying matches and see players doing the hard work of climbing the ranks as a professional tennis player.  The atmosphere on the smaller courts was incredible, sitting only feet from the players and able to hear them mutter after missed points.  On the other end of the spectrum were huge crowds surrounding the practice courts of Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal just to see them hit a few rallies.  I already can't wait to go to the Davis Cup in April and the US Open in August.

March Resolutions

This month I'll finally get to see some live tennis at Indian Wells, and Rafa confirmed he'll play!  I'm also still working on making my apartment cozier and from lighting candles to stocking the bar are small things that can make a big difference.

This year is just flying by so far. . .
