Fashion Muse: Jane Fonda

My resolution for 2011 is to be more fit, both mentally and physically.  What better way to do this than yoga and meditation?  This photo of Jane Fonda is ridiculously cute, she is a crazy woman that still looks amazing in her 70's and I'm guessing her dedication to taking care of herself is a good part of the reason.

So here's to a great 2011...

MYMU Drew Espadrilles

There is snow everywhere...
and I'm dreaming of a spring vacation in Barcelona and wearing these MYMU Drew espadrilles (they're only $49 on Gilt Groupe right now.)

Line & Dot

Line & Dot is a new brand, only 1 year old, but its fresh perspective allows pieces that breathe and feel relaxed, as well as twists on classics.

Catherine Weitzman Handmade Jewelry Designs

I love the mix of organic shapes and metalwork in jewelry.  It looks as though you can freeze the essence of nature and keep a piece forever in a Catherine Weitzman design.

Interior of the Week

Tobi Fairley has fantastic rooms that just pop with color; this room makes good use of kelly green.  I adore the pops of gold with the bright green all against a neutral backdrop.

The symmetry of the space allows the patterns to shine and the intricate coffee table to anchor the space.
I love bold rooms that have such defined exuberance.

Fashion Muse: Carole Lombard

This fantastic picture of a festive Carole Lombard is my dream Christmas; all the trimmings and dressing to the nines...

Merry Christmas Eve!  I hope everyone has a great holiday, I'm looking forward to spending time with my nieces and nephew.
This is my take if I were to go to a fantastic Christmas party:

Kate Szabone Jewellery on Etsy

Kate Szabone knows that great jewelry is simple.  Her organic shapes, quality materials, and craftsmanship make her jewelry absolutely beautiful.

Stella McCartney Clog Sandals

These Stella McCartney Scarlett Clog Sandals are so festive and whimsical, oh to be somewhere warm for Christmas...

I love the hint of brass with the stud detailing.

Elise Øverland

I love the up-and-coming designer Elise Øverland, especially her softer pieces that exude femininity as well as toughness.  The hooded dress from her Resort 2011 line is phenomenal (and quite unattainable.)

Interior of the Week

I absolutely adore this London residence featured on Design to Inspire completed by Cubbold Du Pont Interiors.
It has such fantastic, rich textures and a very chic Parisian flair.

You can't beat architectural features like these gorgeous windows and high ceilings.  But the room is kept grounded by the lush rug and cozy furniture.  The space plan is a little spread out for conversations, but I love the muted color combination, it creates a serene space to lounge.

I had to include this picture for the view of the divine ceiling height and moldings.  The chandelier is insanely pretty and the over scaled mirror is beautiful.

Who wouldn't want to wake up in a room like this?  It is modern and vintage rolled into one delightful package.  The mirrored chest adds opulence and the furniture is delicate and balances the smaller space.

Fashion Muse: Mountain Girl

I just finished reading The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test (okay, I skimmed the last third...) and I am fascinated by the Merry Pranksters.  The crazy time of "on the bus or off the bus" in the 60's, listening to Grateful Dead and experimenting with LSD and marijuana, is far from the idyllic persona of so-called hippies that I had previously perceived.

Mountain Girl (Carolyn Adams) is an incredible character, she is the Prankster's muse and defines the adventurous, free-spirited woman.
This is my take on her adorable mod look...

Jody Edwards' Feather Paintings on Etsy

I think these feather watercolors by artist Jody Edwards are divine...

Something Else

There is something so intriguing about this Pink Yoke Dress.  It has a gorgeous faded Aztec print and some discreet cutouts on the shoulders.

Yes, there is Something Else about this Australia based brand helmed by Natalie Wood (founder of the label Sample)...

Mirta on Etsy

I came across the delightful Etsy shop Mirta through Modish, one of my favorite blogs as of late.  There is a beautiful simplicity to her pieces.

Interior of the Week

Dark walls can be tricky, but this design found on Apartment Therapy allows everything to pop off of the dark walls.  I love the prints of the curtains and the beautiful Native American rug.  But my favorite thing are the fabulous stools at the foot of the bed that add warmth and coziness to space.
