Calypso St. Barth

These dresses from Calypso St. Barth make me want to go on a beach vacation...  the prices, however, only remind me that a breezy vacation is currently unattainable.

The hunt for new summer sandals begins....  I'm thinking neutral with subtle details.

Interior of the Week

Spring so far has looked pretty white here in Utah, we keep getting little snow storms, but hopefully it will cheer up soon so I can get out and play some tennis.

While white can be unwelcome outside, I find it very calming in interiors, this space by Sara Sjögren is a good example of allowing a clean palette with pops of color. I always find maneuverability in a space a plus and if you're indecisive you can always change the space up when it gets too static.

Spring Organizing

Do you ever just feel like organizing?  I guess I just get that spring cleaning bug.
Here is some of my inspiration:

For Japan With Love

I am participating in a Bloggers Day of Silence for Japan this Friday, March 18th, my blog will be silent in honor and respect for what has happened in Japan.

For Japan With Love has a direct link on the website to our fund raising page for ShelterBox.
ShelterBox was one of THE first organizations asked by Japan to help and were on hand on the Saturday after the quake.  Each large, green ShelterBox is tailored to a disaster but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, water storage and purification equipment, cooking utensils, a stove, a basic tool kit, a children’s activity pack and other vital items.

Please check it out and whatever you can contribute will be so appreciated.

White Webb

I absolutely love Islamic architecture: the lines of the archways are insanely gorgeous and I adore the tile work, particularly the Arabic calligraphy.
These acrylic tables bring a little piece home...

Interior of the Week

A few months ago, Sköna Hem featured the apartment of Amelia from A Beautiful Living(I found it through Pinterest and Sanctuary.)  It is a beautiful combination of rustic and girly: from the leather sofa, the gorgeous table, the bookcase displays, to the dishes in her cupboard.  It's all cohesive and has such a relaxed ambiance.

Tessa Blazey

I came across Tessa Blazey's work on Pinterest, she is a fascinating jeweler from Melbourne, Australia.  Working with theories of illusion and camouflage she makes incredible designs, including this new series of rings.
