Interior of the Week

I love this relaxed bedroom, complete with a seating area, warm wood tones, soft creams, and a gallery wall.  A lovely place to kick up your heels at the end of the day.

Oscars 2013

No offense to the Academy, but my favorite part of the award show will always be the red carpet.
I love that movie stars are now wearing Couture straight from the runways, très chic.

It's the Weekend!

It's been an anxious week, but the weekend is finally here.  Here are a few links from the week:

Are you ready for Oscar night?

I watched the 1960 movie 'Breathless' this past weekend on hulu and I was blown away.  It was quirky, interesting, and most definitely French New Wave.  I was also able to watch the Three Colors trilogy from the Criterion Collection and learning to speak French conversationally has moved up on my Mighty Life List.

Have a Lovely Weekend!

The best thing about winter is definitely the food, especially Cara Cara oranges, I'm obsessed. . .
Here are a few links from the week:

The best thing about The Bachelor is the post-show blogging; my favorites include Lincee Ray, Jen Frase, and Accept the Rose

Neutral Nail Polishes

I've been wanting to get a nice neutral nail polish, after noticing Emily Thorne's meticulous manicure during my recent binge viewing of Revenge.

The Beauty Look Book featured a quick swatch of the best nudes.  I'm leaning towards Deborah Lippmann's 'Modern Love.'  Do you have a go to neutral nail polish?

Interior of the Week

I love all the color of this lovely engagement party: the garlands, flowers, and ombre cakes.  It was featured on Design Sponge last May.

Happy Friday!

It's amazing how the week flies by when work is busy.  I'm heading out after work for a weekend road trip to Las Vegas with some new friends, it should be interesting. . .  Here are a few links for the week:

Ebay Wishlist

Sometimes the items on your wishlist just aren't that accessible, enter Ebay.  I tend to get in trouble when I browse Ebay, so I usually just save the searches I want to watch, while I save and wait for the best deal. . .

(Mostly used by club players in the 1950's, Davis racquets have beautiful
graphic design, I'm partial to the TAD and Silverstreak editions.)

(A little bit obsessed with this brass clock made in 1960's West Germany,
it shows the time in all the time zones.  Amazing.)

(I'm still saving to buy an Hermes Scarf, but the knot tying techniques shown on
Hermes Knotting cards can be used on other square scarves, as well.)

February Resolutions

My January Resolutions went fairly well, I have been practicing yoga everyday this year and I've been trying a lot of new recipes in this cookbook.

For February, I'm keeping it simple with a homemade touch and some relaxation.

Sometimes it's the scale of a space that make the room and sometimes it's in the little details. . .
