Happy Friday!

Hoping to check out the Farmer's Market tomorrow morning and possibly a dueling piano bar with friends tomorrow night.  It should be a relaxing weekend after one of those weeks where the days were long but the week was short.

Happy Friday!

I can't believe it's already Friday, I had to check my calendar to be sure.  There is nothing worse than thinking it's Friday prematurely.  I've been watching a documentary on Netflix about Woody Allen, absolutely fascinating, endless creativity and work. . .  Did you know that the 'split screen' therapy session was actually a built set, so Woody and Diane could play off each other's timing?

Oscars 2013

No offense to the Academy, but my favorite part of the award show will always be the red carpet.  

I love that movie stars are now wearing Couture straight from the runways, très chic.

Breathless

I watched the 1960 movie 'Breathless' this past weekend on hulu and I was blown away.  It was quirky, interesting, and most definitely French New Wave.  I was also able to watch the Three Colors trilogy from the Criterion Collection and learning to speak French conversationally has moved up on my Mighty Life List.

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee

Have you seen Jerry Seinfeld's Internet series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee?  It's surprisingly entertaining, for a show about nothing, and the inside stories are fascinating.  The episodes with Alec Baldwin, Brian Regan, and Michael Richards were highlights of the first season.

I can't wait to see who Jerry will pick up to go get coffee with next, now that the show has been 'renewed' for a second season.

Silver Linings Playbook

This movie, Silver Linings Playbook, with Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, has been on my IMDb watchlist for months, with all the Oscar buzz and the SAG and Globe nominations, I can't wait to go check it out.

Lunar Globes

I've been on the lookout for a globe of the moon.  It's such a quirky object from the 1960's.  

I also just watched this fascinating video from NASA about how the moon evolved.  I had no idea it was so intense.
